New Starters
Mrs Ashton, our Headteacher, and all the staff, would like to extend a warm welcome to new families with children joining us in the Reception Class in September 2023. To the families with children already with us, hello again!
Our Reception teachers, along with the rest of the Early Years Team, are excited to work with you.
We would encourage you to spend some time browsing through the various tabs on our website as they contain lots of useful information. We are constantly updating the website with photographs of the children, including write-ups about the various activities happening both in and out of school, to keep parents, and of course other visitors, abreast of the exciting things we do.
As you navigate through the website, you will see how to order school uniform, find links to our exciting newsletters, be able to view the delicious meals on the school menu and look at a school calendar showing holidays, training days and bank holidays, plus much more.
The children in Reception Class (up to the end of Year 2) are entitled to a free school meal under the Government’s Universal Free School Meals initiative, but please let us know if you would prefer to send your child with a packed lunch from home instead.
We offer a free healthy Breakfast Club, sponsored by Greggs where your child will be able to enjoy healthy cereals, yoghurts, toast, water, milk and juice. If you would like you child to attend Breakfast Club, please complete the booking form on our Breakfast Club Booking Page.
Why not visit our ‘News’, ‘Curriculum’ and ‘Subject’ pages to have a look at some of the exciting activities and events the children in each year group are involved in at various times throughout the school year.
The school uses ParentPay to communicate with parents/carers by text and email. To receive these communications from us, you will need to be registered on ParentPay using the codes we will provide to you when your child joins the school. We also use ParentPay to take payment for items such as school meals (for those parents with children in Year 3 and upwards), educational visits/trips, raising the birthday flag, plus other sundries. Again, you need to be registered to use this facility. We prefer not to take cash payments for items at the school office.
You will see below, some photographs of a few of the areas in our Early Years Department, along with two videos which walk you through the classrooms.
We hope you enjoy looking through the pages on our website, however if you cannot find what you are looking for, please contact the school office and we will do our best to direct you. Thank you.
