Visit to River Tees
As part of their Geography work on rivers, the children in Y5LJ recently visited the River Tees. They had a fantastic time exploring the river at Croft-on-Tees. They were able to spot some of the river features (such as meanders) that they had learnt about in the classroom and they enjoyed creating charcoal sketches of the land nearby. The best part of the morning was definitely getting in the water to collect river samples!! The children loved finding out what was living in the river and they managed to identify some of the minibeasts and fish that they found.
