Mini Medics
This week, children in Years 2 and 6 had the opportunity to learn the basics of First Aid. Staff from Langton Medical Group visited school and worked with the children, showing them CPR techniques using ‘rescusi-Annie’, how to put a casualty in the recovery position, dealing with burns, bandaging, choking and much more. The sessions were fun (but with a serious edge) and the children gained a lot of knowledge, which they can use in ‘real-life’ emergencies if the need arises. The photographs below show the children putting their newly gained knowledge into practice.
