Military visit
Recently, we were delighted to welcome LT SJ COOPER of the (Northern) Signal Squadron into school to talk to our Upper Key Stage 2 children about her life in the Armed Forces. The children asked questions about the type of jobs in the Army as well as what everyday life is like for a soldier. They were very interested to hear about the exciting opportunities the Army can offer to travel the world. We enjoyed an opportunity to look at her medals and even try on some of her kit. The children (and staff) were fascinated to learn more about Susan’s civilian job as a battle field tour guide and quickly began planning how they might join her on a tour!
