Junior Mayor Competition

Last term, some Y6 children entered a competition where the winner would become Junior Mayor of Darlington.

From many Y6 entries of written and art work, from children across Darlington, we were thrilled to hear the news that Suzie Brigham – from Firthmoor – won the competition. Mia Ellison was also a worthy runner up. What an exciting morning we had on Friday when Jan Cossins (Mayor of Darlington) arrived to congratulate the girls and present them with a certificate and trophy!

Suzie was invited to spend the day with the Mayor on Monday where she visited places around the town and attended an award ceremony. She also enjoyed lunch with the Mayor at Uno Momento!
