Home Learner Award #7

Lucas in Reception wins this week’s award for ‘Home Learner of the Week’.

Mrs. Dannatt and Mrs. Graham have both enjoyed seeing the fantastic pieces of evidence provided of Lucas’ learning right across the curriculum.

Hugely supported by his dad, Lucas has sent in lots of interesting pictures, including a sequence of photos of a winter walk; which his teachers described as ‘a virtual tour’! Fantastic!

Following the RSPB’s bird watching weekend, Lucas later spotted two magpies and sent in photos of them sitting high in a tree. It’s great to hear how enthusiastic Lucas has become about learning the different species of birds.

During his time learning at home, Lucas also drew a detailed picture of a Police Officer, which he labelled. This was part of our ‘People Who Help Us’ topic, and this really showed us that Lucas could recall some of the unique equipment worn and used by the Police Force.

As well as all this, and again with support from Dad, Lucas still managed to practice his numbers and letters on his whiteboard.

Well done Lucas!
