Cross County Competition

24 eager children from Year 3 to Year 6 went to Blackwell Meadows to compete in the Darlington Cross Country competition on Thursday 28^th September.

All the children were very excited to be running at a new venue with Year 3/ 4 children running 1300m, Year 5 children running 1500m and Year 6 children running 1600m (just over a mile). It was great to see the positive attitudes of all children taking part as they tried their very best to complete the course. Congratulations to all the children on a job well done, but particular mentions to Reuben (Y3) who came 16^th, Brinley (Y5) who came 17^th and Joey (Y6) who came 15^th in their respective races.

The top three runners had their points collated to create a team score and a special mention goes to the Year 3/ 4 Boys team who positioned 4^th out of 20 teams (Tristan/ Reuben/ Owen/ El-J).

A huge congratulations to everybody who took part.
