Cross County Competition

24 eager children from Year 3 to Year 6 went to Blackwell Meadows to compete in the Darlington Cross Country competition on Thursday 28th September.

All the children were very excited to be running at a new venue with Year 3/ 4 children running 1300m, Year 5 children running 1500m and Year 6 children running 1600m (just over a mile).  It was great to see the positive attitudes of all children taking part as they tried their very best to complete the course.  Congratulations to all the children on a job well done, but particular mentions to Reuben (Y3) who came 16th, Brinley (Y5) who came 17th and Joey (Y6) who came 15th in their respective races.

The top three runners had their points collated to create a team score and a special mention goes to the Year 3/ 4 Boys team who positioned 4th out of 20 teams (Tristan/ Reuben/ Owen/ El-J).

A huge congratulations to everybody who took part.
