COVID Lateral Flow Testing – New Guidance

Following yesterday’s Public Health clinic, please find below some guidance for schools on lateral flow testing for children who are household contacts of COVID cases.

In circumstances where children are household contacts of a PCR positive COVID case we advise daily lateral flow tests

Results (negative, positive or void) should be registered online or via 119.

The standard advice for the general population is to test with a lateral flow twice a week. Contacts of PCR positive cases are also advised to have a PCR test as soon as possible
