Health Drop in Sessions

School Nurse
Our School Nurses and local healthcare professionals regularly drop into school to give parents, carers and children information and advice about physical and emotional health. The nurses are happy for parents to talk about any issues affecting the physical or emotional health of their child.

Discussions are held in the strictest of confidence, so the School Nurse doesn’t discuss the issues with anyone else unless they feel that you or someone else is at risk of harm. Please contact the school office for further information on how to contact the school nursing team.

Dental Healthcare
Our local NHS dentist service provides advice about oral hygiene and diets. The drop in sessions offer free resources and support to maintain a healthy smile. Ultimately, the aim of the British Dental Health Foundation is to increase children’s oral health. Their advice is:

  • Brush your teeth for two minutes, twice a day, with a fluoride toothpaste.
  • Have a balanced diet and learn the importance of cutting down on how often you have sugary foods and drinks.
  • Visit the dentist regularly, as often as they recommend.

The recent drop is sessions within the school offered dental check-ups and advice for our pupils and their families.
