Year 2 WWT Washington Wetlands Visit

Our Year 2 children had a wonderful time at the wetlands centre. When we arrived, we continued the story of Ava ‘the bird girl’ and were lucky enough to meet her in her giant nest! We are sure the children will tell you all about her and her adventure.

Then we enjoyed using the translator phones to hear from the animals and completed a range of nature activities.

We discovered wetland wildlife from around the world and thoroughly enjoyed meeting the Asian otters!

All the children received their unique password for the generation wild website so they can continue their adventure and complete a series of nature activities. We look forward to the children receiving their certificates and badge.

We were so inspired by our visit that we will continue to complete activities in our class based on the wetlands trip.
