Y5 Visit from Peter Gibson (MP for Darlington)
After writing letters to Peter Gibson (MP for Darlington) earlier in Year 5, the children in Miss Jamieson’s class were lucky enough to receive a visit from Peter. He came into school to talk to the children about his job and they had the opportunity to ask lots of interesting questions. The children asked these as an MP would in parliament, by standing and waiting to be chosen to speak by the Speaker. Although the children already knew lots about parliament, they now know even more!
