Careers Visitor – Y5MT
Our class were very lucky to have a special visitor from Hopetown Museum (which was known as Head of Steam). The lady’s name was Caitlin and she came to our class to talk about her job and about careers found in a museum. We had lots of time to think about and discuss what happens in a museum. Then our class thought about all the people who work at a museum and what jobs they do. Y5MT found out there were many more jobs at Hopetown than we realised. Some of the jobs found at the museum are: caterers, managers, cleaners, education officers and heritage managers. It was very interesting learning about the job you can do when you are older at Hopetown and the children hope we can visit the museum in the summer.
