Fond Farewell – Year 6
It’s the time of year again where we say goodbye to our Year 6 cohort today. The end of an era at Firthmoor, but bright, new beginnings ahead of them in their next phase of their education at secondary school. We wish them all well, but we’re sure they be popping in to see us from time to time!
This week the Years 6’s played with Back Chat Brass Band and produced an amazing video which they were able to share with parents in their leavers assembly. This year they have acted, danced together, had words turned into giant posters to share with the community, made cardboard models, embroidered, painted, printed, and marbled to create flags, learned to play instruments, written poetry, and sung.
Did they think the beginning of the year that they would perform with a band, write a song, and ‘star in a music video? We’ve watched everyone find something that they were truly amazing at, and at times, surprise themselves
