High Force and Bowlees Y6LJ and Y6AW

The trip will form part of the children’s Geography fieldwork. They will be observing key features of the River Tees, including High Force waterfall. They will then walk to Bowlees, following the path of the River Tees. They will also be taking part in stream dipping to observe the wildlife living in the river. They should wear school polo shirt and jumper/cardigan, comfortable bottom half e.g. tracksuit bottoms/leggings (no jeans), comfortable footwear for walking e.g. trainers. They will need a waterproof coat and a backpack to carry their packed lunch/water bottle so that their hands are empty. If your child is entitled to free school meals school can provide a packed lunch – Please request this by Thursday 17th September. Sandwich choices are ham or cheese. To cover the costs of the coach we request a voluntary contribution of £8.00 be paid by Thursday 24th September 2026
